Karen Milliner - Q Weekend - "Back at Escape hubby and I were glad to have the place to ourselves, especially when Nadja and Claire from Ripple Massage knocked on the door shortly after we'd arrived. With a massage table set up for each of us at opposite ends of the house, we both had privacy, neither had to forgo a view, and the therapists had plenty of room to tiptoe around with warm towels and aromatherapy oils. The foot soak, body scrub, face mask and massage with heated sea shell was pure bliss, the perfect way to start a weekend escape within Escape." more from the Q Weekend
spring clean - Style Magazine
THE ONLY thing better than treating yourself to a massage is not having
to leave the comfort of your own home to do so.
As Claire’s expert hands worked their magic, finding my tender spots and releasing the knots, my mind began to drift as my body fully relaxed. Then, while I was still lying on my front, Claire began to exfoliate my body with a walnut, tangerine and lime scrub designed to polish the skin and get rid of dead cells. This was then wiped off with a steaming hot towel and dried before being covered back over. I then rolled over on to my back and the massage/exfoliation bliss continued.
It’s something I will definitely be doing again... and again... and again. more from Style Magazine
Mike O'Conner, Courier Mail - The hot stones glide over your oiled flesh like molten silk, the heat seeping deep in your muscles. Outside, a chill south-westerly wind beats against the glass door panes, the wood fire crackles occasionally, the only other sound an occasional low-pitched sigh. more from Mike O'Connor
Jennifer Cook - Revive Magazine, Sunshine Coast Daily ....."The wet glossy ferns and leaves were hanging low with drops of rain, and the fresh mountain air was exactly what my lungs needed to clear out months of recirculated central air-conditioning....As night fell across the mountain, Alison Shaw from Ripple Massage tapped on our door, massage table under arm.
giving hotel or resort visitors a choice of a wide range of massage styles, to be pampered totally in their room, using delicious and luxurious lotions and oils, more from the Sunshine Coast Daily
The Weekend Australian - Chris Pritchard - I return to Witches Falls Cottages in time for a pre booked hot-stone massage. There is an arrangement with a local company, Ripple Massage, whose owner Alisn Shaw set up a folding massge table for me on the highly polished floor of the split-level open-plan cotttage. She lights aromatherapy candles and heats a bag of smooth stones. Other choices encompass an array of beauty treatments, including organic clay face masks.
Revive Magazine - Ripple Massage at Aruba Surf - I WAS grinning like an idiot as I flew along the Pacific Motorway one sunny Saturday morning – no traffic, windows down and the wind in my hair. It was my last official day of holidays, a week of rain had given way to a brilliantly blue sky, and I was Gold Coast bound for a last holiday hurrah. Who wouldn’t be smiling? This set the tone for a weekend getaway to Aruba Surf Resort at Broadbeach....more from Revive Magazine
Melbourne Age and Sydney Sun Herald - And for those looking for a more boutique option, , further into the hinterland at Mount Tamborine, at the remarkable Witches Falls Cottages, Alison Shaw has created a totally different experience with her ripple Russian massage, which is designed to "feed the senses, body and spirit."
Imagine this: the setting is a sublime mixture of flowering scented gardens edged by rose gums - a cross between Australian-bush and Japanese-rural retreat. The accommodation is in stone cottages that are split-level and have beds raised above the lounge areas. The floors are timber. The finish is immaculate. And in this setting , Alison and her masseurs will deliver to your room their rare Russian massage. As Alison says:"It is relatively unknown in Australia. It is a beautiful and deeply relaxing style of massage......"more from the Courier Mail

Courier Mail - Travel Section - ......You might even like to set off early in the morning to catch the wildlife out and about, but I'm guessing that you will just be luxuriating in bed until late.
Or pampering yourself even more as we did
with a massage from Alison Shaw, a mountain convert who visited for a
day and vowed on the spot this was where she would stay. Shaw's sunny
personality will have you feeling better even before she gets down to
work, but once we had experienced her Swedish and hot rocks techniques,
even massage doubters like us felt the working week was far, far away
